Physio Greensborough: getting here, sport & common questions

Rosanna Physio is on Bellevue Avenue in Rosanna, a straightforward run south of Greensborough and still within the City of Banyule, so you are not travelling far to be seen.

Getting here from Greensborough

  • By car: about 10 minutes via Greensborough Highway and Lower Plenty Road.
  • Parking: the clinic sits directly opposite a 120-space car park, so you are not hunting for a spot on the street.
  • By train: three stops on the Hurstbridge line, Greensborough to Watsonia to Macleod to Rosanna, then a short walk to Bellevue Avenue.
  • Greensborough (3088) and Rosanna (3084) are both City of Banyule suburbs, so you are staying local.

Sports injuries around the Diamond Valley

Greensborough is a sporting suburb and it shows in what walks through our door. Winter brings football and netball knees and ankles, hamstring strains and shoulder injuries; summer brings cricket shoulders, running loads and pre-season overuse. The pattern we see most often is someone returning to sport too early after a first injury and re-tearing the same tissue. We put an actual return-to-sport plan in place, with criteria to meet rather than a date on a calendar, and we are happy to speak to your coach or trainer about it.

What happens at your first appointment

Your first visit runs about 40 minutes. We take a proper history, examine the area and the joints above and below it, and explain what we think is going on in plain language. You will usually get hands-on treatment in that first session, plus two or three exercises to start at home. Before you leave you will know roughly how many visits this should take and what recovery looks like, so there are no open-ended commitments.

What Greensborough patients see us for

Back and neck pain from desk work, football, netball and running injuries, shoulder pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, vertigo and dizziness (vestibular physiotherapy), and women’s health and pelvic floor physiotherapy. We also offer dry needling, remedial massage and exercise physiology.

Common questions from Greensborough patients

How long is an appointment?
Initial consultations run about 40 minutes and follow-ups around 30, so there is time to actually treat you rather than just assess.

Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly. A referral is only needed for Medicare care plans, WorkCover or TAC claims.

Do you do dry needling?
Yes, where it suits the problem. It is one tool among several and we will explain why we are or are not recommending it.

Where do I park?
There is a 120-space car park directly opposite the clinic on Bellevue Avenue.

Call our reception on (03) 9457 2336 or book online, and we will get you moving again.

Nearby suburbs we also see patients from.

Greensborough is the northern end of our catchment, closest to Watsonia and Eltham. Macleod and Lower Plenty sit between there and Rosanna, Heidelberg and Ivanhoe are further south, and Preston, Bulleen and Templestowe complete the area we cover.
