Looking For A Physio Near Preston?

If you are in Preston and the physio you want is booked out for a fortnight, it is worth knowing there is a clinic ten to fifteen minutes east of you with same-day appointments and a car park directly opposite the door. Rosanna Physio is a straight run along Bell Street, and we see a steady number of Preston patients each week.

Physio Preston: getting here & common questions

Rosanna Physio is on Bellevue Avenue in Rosanna. Preston sits in the City of Darebin and we are just over the boundary in Banyule, which means you are crossing councils but not travelling far.

Getting here from Preston

  • By car: 10 to 15 minutes east along Bell Street and Lower Plenty Road, depending on where in Preston you start and the time of day.
  • Parking: a 120-space car park sits directly opposite the clinic, which is a change from hunting for a space around High Street or the Market.
  • By public transport: Preston is on the Mernda line and we are on the Hurstbridge line, so there is no single train that connects us. Most Preston patients drive; it is considerably quicker than changing in the city.

Why Preston patients make the trip

We are honest that we are not your closest option, so it is worth saying what people come to us for specifically. Vestibular physiotherapy for vertigo, dizziness and balance is the most common reason, because it needs particular training and not every clinic offers it. Pelvic floor and women’s health physiotherapy is the second. And a good number come for persistent problems that have not settled elsewhere, where a fresh assessment is more useful than more of the same treatment.

Everyday injuries we treat

Alongside the specialised work we handle the full range: low back and neck pain from desk work and driving, shoulder pain, running and gym injuries, tennis and golfer’s elbow, knee and hip pain, arthritis, and rehabilitation after surgery. We also offer dry needling, remedial massage and exercise physiology.

Common questions from Preston patients

Is it worth travelling that far for physio?
For a straightforward strain, probably not, and we would rather tell you that. For vertigo, pelvic health, or something that has not improved with treatment so far, a proper assessment is usually worth the fifteen minutes.

Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly. A referral is only needed for a Medicare care plan, WorkCover or the TAC.

Can I claim my private health on the spot?
Yes. We have HICAPS on site, so your rebate comes off immediately and you only pay the gap.

Can I get in outside work hours?
We hold early and later appointments each day. Call reception and ask what is available this week.

Call our reception on (03) 9457 2336 or book online, and we will get you moving again.
