Rehabilitation Physiotherapy

Have you injured yourself or are you recovering from surgery?

If you answered “yes,” then you are probably dealing with joint stiffness, a loss of muscle strength and fitness, and your muscles have become tight and possibly inactive. This is undoubtedly frustrating and is having an influence on the quality of your life. If you don’t address these symptoms with an efficient rehabilitation programme while you are recovering, the situation will continue to get worse and could become a life-long injury that affects your long-term quality of life. This is especially true if you don’t address the problem hoping that you will fully recover on your own without professional intervention.

How Do I Know If I Need To See A Physiotherapist?

Recovering from a knee injury needs a focused rehabilitation program to ensure you return to your best

How can a physio help with my rehabilitation?

Patients can work with physiotherapists to fix improper movement patterns and functional difficulties, both of which may put patients at increased risk for injury. Returning to baseline is typically only one-half of the task in cases when there is an underlying explanation for why the injury happened in the first place. These interventions have the goal of correcting deficits in your mobility in order to restore adequate function and to ensure that the injury will not occur again in the future.

In addition, the body will attempt to make up for its loss by shifting weight away from the injured location. This can result in you needing to adjust the way you walk, use the stairs, how you sit, or how you stand. These adjustments are being made to preserve the injured area and lessen the pain that it causes. Unfortunately, the act of compensating might result in an increase in the weight carried by other areas of the body. These other places may not be accustomed to increased amounts of load, which might lead to other injuries further down the road. Our Physiotherapists can assist control these compensations to avoid new problems springing up.

The team of experienced physios at Rosanna Physio are dedicated to your rehabilitation and will work with you every step of the way to ensure you return to your best.  We understand the importance of providing you with expert care and guidance in a friendly and welcoming environment.
